Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern the electrical services provided by Principal 1 Electrical (Licence EC79666) to residential and commercial customers. By requesting a quote or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

Quotes are provided based on the information available at the time and are subject to confirmation once the scope of work has been assessed on-site. Fixed-price quotes cover the described scope of work only — additional work outside that scope, or work arising from unforeseen circumstances (e.g. concealed wiring faults), may incur additional charges, which will be discussed with you before proceeding.

Same-day and emergency service is offered subject to availability. You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property for the duration of the work.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due on completion of the work. Late payments may be subject to a reasonable administration fee to cover recovery costs.

We stand by the quality of our work and offer a workmanship guarantee on completed jobs, the details of which will be confirmed with you at the time of service.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy available to you under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), including the consumer guarantees that services will be provided with due care and skill, will be fit for any disclosed purpose, and will be delivered within a reasonable time. Where our liability for a breach of a consumer guarantee cannot be excluded, but can be limited, our liability is limited (at our option) to resupplying the services or paying the cost of having the services resupplied.

If you need to reschedule or cancel a booked appointment, please provide as much notice as possible so we can offer the time slot to another customer.

All work is carried out by, or under the supervision of, licensed electricians (Licence EC79666) in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 (Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules) and the Electrical Safety Act 2002 (Qld). See our Compliance page for more detail.

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to the consumer guarantees described above, Principal 1 Electrical is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the services provided.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
